{"id":118239,"date":"2021-12-08T13:03:10","date_gmt":"2021-12-08T12:03:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=118239"},"modified":"2021-12-08T13:03:10","modified_gmt":"2021-12-08T12:03:10","slug":"efcc-declares-man-wanted-over-alleged-n213-billion-fraud","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/12\/08\/efcc-declares-man-wanted-over-alleged-n213-billion-fraud\/","title":{"rendered":"EFCC declares man wanted over alleged N213 billion fraud"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has declared the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MBA Capital and Training Limited, Maxwell Chizi Odum, wanted over alleged N213 billion fraud.<\/p>\n<p>Accirding to the statement released by the anti-graft agency, Odum has been declared wanted over an alleged case of conspiracy, obtaining money by false pretence and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/11\/08\/just-in-ex-pension-boss-maina-sentenced-to-61-years-imprisonment-for-money-laundering\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">money laundering<\/a> to the tune of N213 million.<\/p>\n<p>WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that protesters suspected to be victims of scam reportedly stormed the EFCC headquarters in Abuja to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/08\/12\/photos-victims-of-forex-scam-narrate-ordeal-as-they-storm-efcc-headquarters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">protest an alleged forex scam<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Leader of the protesters identified as Christian Agadaga alleged that Odum absconded with over N100 billion from people all over the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are gathered today to seek the help of the EFCC chairman to help us track down <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/05\/03\/video-victims-of-forex-fraud-storm-christ-embassy-demand-refunds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maxwell Odum<\/a> and help retrieve all our money back and also for him to face the full wrath of the law.
