The House of Representatives has urged the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to reopen its permanent orientation camp in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.<\/p>\n

The House said despite the peace in the state, the NYSC<\/a> has refused to reopen the camp.<\/p>\n

It mandated its Committee on Youth Development to investigate the situation.<\/p>\n

The House also mandated the Committee on Legislative Compliance to ensure implementation.<\/p>\n

The resolutions followed the adoption of a motion on the \u201cNeed to Reopen the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Permanent Orientation Camp, Maiduguri,\u201d moved by Usman Zannah.<\/p>\n

The House noted that for over 10 years, the NYSC permanent orientation camp in Maiduguri has been shut down due to insurgency.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
