{"id":124619,"date":"2021-12-23T18:16:01","date_gmt":"2021-12-23T17:16:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=124619"},"modified":"2021-12-23T18:22:34","modified_gmt":"2021-12-23T17:22:34","slug":"zamfara-commissioner-resigns-accepts-appointment-in-imo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/12\/23\/zamfara-commissioner-resigns-accepts-appointment-in-imo\/","title":{"rendered":"Zamfara commissioner resigns, accepts appointment in Imo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Commissioner for women and children affairs in Zamfara state, Rabi Shinkafi has resigned her appointment and taken up a job in Imo state.<\/p>\n<p>This was disclosed on Thursday by Shinkafi in an interview with NAN in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara state.<\/p>\n<p>There had been speculations on social media about the reason for her resignation, as she was appointed as commissioner in Zamfara in November 2021.<\/p>\n<p>She, however, said the speculations about her resignation on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/12\/12\/oau-students-death-stop-dragging-adedoyin-on-social-media-hes-not-a-ritualist-family\/\">social media<\/a> are \u201ccompletely false\u201d, adding that it is the work of mischief makers.<\/p>\n<p>Shinkafi said Hope Uzodimma, governor of Imo, and his Zamfara counterpart, Bello Matawalle, who are both members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), have discussed the development.<\/p>\n<p>She also said her relationship with Matawalle and his wife is cordial, adding that they were involved in her decision to move to Imo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI resigned my appointment as commissioner in Zamfara to enable me to pick another appointment as commissioner in Imo,\u2019\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am immensely grateful to governor Bello Matawalle and his wife, hajiya Aisha Matawalle, for their kindness to me and for giving me the opportunity to serve Zamfara in different capacities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll the speculations on social media about my resignation are completely false; it was just the work of mischief makers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have a perfect and cordial relationship with the governor and his wife.
