Unknown gunmen have abducted a former gubernatorial candidate of the Action Congress in Imo State and Rochas Okorocha\u2019s son in law, Uche Nwosu.<\/p>\n

Nwosu was abducted by gunmen in military uniform at St. Peter\u2019s Angelican Church Eziam Obire, in Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State.<\/p>\n

The incident happened during the outing service of his late mother.<\/p>\n

Eyewitnesses reported that the gunmen stormed the church with a military van firing live bullets in the air.<\/p>\n

While some of Nwosu\u2019s associates alleged that he was kidnapped<\/a>, others alleged that his arrest was masterminded by the state governor, Hope Uzodinma.<\/p>\n

But in a swift reaction, the state commissioner for Information and strategy, Declan Emelumba, said that the governor had no hand in what happened.<\/p>\n

While Emelumba could not confirm if it was an arrest or a kidnap incident, he said that it was \u201cridiculous\u201d to allege that the governor had a hand in the disappearance of Nwosu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
