Eight suspected cultists have been arrested by the operatives of Anambra state police command for terrorising the state.<\/p>\n

This was contained in a statement released by the police public relations officer in the state, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu.<\/p>\n

The PPRO said\u00a0the command\u2019s operatives in conjunction with the military and other security agencies in the state, on March 23, raided a couple of criminal hideouts in Okija, Ihiala LGA and arrested the suspects<\/a> whose names are Ugbe Lucky ‘M’ 27yrs, Ekene Ebubeze ‘M’ 38yrs, Somto Chukwu \u2018M’ 25yrs,\u00a0 Ifeanyi Eze ‘M’ 22yrs, Chika Nnekezie \u2018M\u2019 31yrs, Chidi Amadike \u2018M’ 26yrs, MMaduabaka Obidiazor \u2018M’ 30yrs, Chinemelum Okeke \u2018M’ 19yrs<\/p>\n

Ikenga said the operatives recovered: one long locally made dane gun, 3 locally double barrel pistols, one live cartridge, two knives,\u00a0 one jungle army camp beret, one red beret, 2 Police belt, one Shisha smoking pot and substance suspected to be cannabis sativa<\/p>\n

He added that the state commissioner of Police, CP MB Kuryas while commending the joint patrol team led by the Area Commander Ihiala for a gallant performance, reassured residents of the state that the Command would be relentless in taking the battle to the doorstep of criminal elements hell-bent on fomenting trouble in the State and bringing them to book.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
