{"id":129926,"date":"2022-01-05T05:51:15","date_gmt":"2022-01-05T04:51:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=129926"},"modified":"2022-01-05T05:51:15","modified_gmt":"2022-01-05T04:51:15","slug":"covid-19-abuad-herbal-drug-heals-19-patients","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/01\/05\/covid-19-abuad-herbal-drug-heals-19-patients\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19: ABUAD herbal drug heals 19 patients"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nineteen patients have reportedly recovered through the usage of the Covid-19 herbal drug developed by Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD).<\/p>\n<p>The founder of the University, Aare Afe Babalola who made the revelation on Tuesday during a ceremony commemorating the 12th anniversary of ABUAD, said the number of those healed by the herbal drug are increasing by the day since its approval a few weeks ago by the National Agency for Food Administration and Control (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/12\/30\/nafdac-well-ensure-covid-vaccines-donated-have-6-month-expiration-date\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NAFDAC<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The 92-year-old lawyer noted that the research department of the university over the years has been churning out meaning new discoveries aimed at solving the socio-economic problems of the country.<\/p>\n<p>Babalola added that he conceived the institution in 2010 to contribute to the nation\u2019s education development in the area of research, teaching, and community service.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cI am happy that I conceived this university twelve years ago and since then, we have been going from strength to strength, making exploits in all our endeavors. Our vision is to make this place a great institution in the university education in the country in teaching, research, and community service.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c I can confirm to you today that our herbal drug produced through extensive research by our team of researchers has healed about 19 patients who contracted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/12\/31\/breaking-fct-minister-muhammad-bello-tests-positive-for-covid-19\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">covid-19<\/a> pandemic.
