She reportedly got married to the father of her children instead.<\/p>\n<p>The charge against her read; \u201cThe complainant and the defendant started dating in July, 2020 and after a long courtship, the complainant proposed to the defendant in January, 2021 which the defendant accepted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBased on the defendant\u2019s acceptance to marry the complainant, the defendant started collecting money from the complainant with the belief that all her responsibilities and that of her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/01\/04\/kenyan-woman-kills-herself-and-her-two-children-over-husbands-infidelity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">children<\/a> and parents are to be catered by the complainant.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the day you promised to marry the complaint, he has expended N6.7million on you which you are aware of and he has expended nothing less than N3.2million in preparation for the wedding.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The lady was admitted bail of N500,00 with two sureties in like sum.
