Gani Adams, the Aare Onakakafo of Yoruba land, has urged the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello to establish the Southwest Security Network, Operation Amotekun in his state.<\/p>\n

Adams explained that the measure would help Bello tackle insecurity in the state.<\/p>\n

He made the call at the 8th edition of Oodua Progressive Union (OPU) Conference tagged Kabba 2022 in Lokoja over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Adams noted that though Kogi State is peaceful, however, there is a need to beef up security.<\/p>\n

According to Adams: \u201cI urge our amiable governor to replicate the idea of Amotekun<\/a> in Kogi state.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe governor can give the state security outfit any name that suits its purpose. This will help in complementing the efforts of the federal government in securing the state.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Yoruba Generalissimo commended Bello\u2019s efforts in driving the economic fortunes of the state.<\/p>\n
