We wanted a child who is genetically related to both of us. I underwent the in vitro fertilization with the understanding that Mike\u2019s genetic materials would be used in this procedure. Without our knowledge, Dr. Spirtos used a stranger\u2019s sperm.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The family said it learned of the botched procedure when they bought Jessica a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/10\/19\/panel-orders-dna-test-for-six-year-old-child-who-is-being-claimed-by-four-women\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DNA test<\/a> ahead of her trip to Europe in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Jessica was expecting to see her father\u2019s Italian heritage represented on her test, but instead found that she was of Irish, English, German, Welsh and French descent.<\/p>\n<p>Jessica Harvey Galloway said: &#8220;There are no words to express what I have been through; what my parents have been through. I am still in total disbelief and probably always will be.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-144187 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2022\/02\/kunlenet07\/2022\/02\/04\/Jeanine-and-John-Harvey-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1175\" height=\"1763\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2022\/02\/kunlenet07\/2022\/02\/04\/Jeanine-and-John-Harvey-3.jpg 1175w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2022\/02\/kunlenet07\/2022\/02\/04\/Jeanine-and-John-Harvey-3-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2022\/02\/kunlenet07\/2022\/02\/04\/Jeanine-and-John-Harvey-3-682x1024.jpg 682w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2022\/02\/kunlenet07\/2022\/02\/04\/Jeanine-and-John-Harvey-3-768x1152.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2022\/02\/kunlenet07\/2022\/02\/04\/Jeanine-and-John-Harvey-3-1024x1536.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1175px) 100vw, 1175px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Jessica said she tracked down her biological father through ancestry.com and genealogists hired by her lawyer, and confirmed that the man gave sperm to Dr. Nicholas Spirtos to inseminate his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/02\/03\/jealous-man-jailed-for-18-years-after-killing-ex-wife-for-blowing-kiss-to-lover-on-tiktok-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wife<\/a> on the same day the Harveys were in his office.<\/p>\n<p>Spirtos is still affiliated with the Akron healthcare provider, according to its website.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement to local media outlets, Summa Health said it was taking &#8220;this allegation seriously.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;At this point, we have not met with the family or conducted testing of our own.
