{"id":15112,"date":"2021-03-30T11:21:12","date_gmt":"2021-03-30T10:21:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=15112"},"modified":"2021-03-30T11:21:12","modified_gmt":"2021-03-30T10:21:12","slug":"ogun-govt-begins-recruitment-of-casual-teachers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/03\/30\/ogun-govt-begins-recruitment-of-casual-teachers\/","title":{"rendered":"Ogun govt begins recruitment of \u2018casual teachers\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ogun State has announced the commencement process of recruiting casual teachers, who are to work as interns for a period of two years.<\/p>\n<p>The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Abayomi Arigbabu, made this announcement in a statement on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Arigbabu said the programme is \u201ca special intervention scheme designed to fill the existing vacancies in the Public Primary\/Secondary Schools and Technical Colleges in the State.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It was gathered that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/03\/18\/10286\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recruitment<\/a> is under the Ogun State Teaching Experience Acquisition Channel (Ogun TEACh).<\/p>\n<p>The Commissioner said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/02\/28\/kwara-pegs-cut-off-marks-for-teachers-recruitment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">teachers<\/a> recruited through the scheme would work for a period of two years, while being paid stipends monthly.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, interested applicants should possess an NCE, with minimum of merit in the teaching subjects; B.A (Ed)\/ BSc (Ed)\/B.Ed, with minimum of second class lower division in the teaching subjects).<\/p>\n<p>He disclosed that those with B.A\/B.Sc in any of the primary\/secondary school subjects must possess Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from reputable universities in addition.<\/p>\n<p>While those interested in teaching in the technical colleges, B.Tech (Ed)\/ B.Sc (Ed) (Tech) and B.Sc\/HND qualifications are allowed.<\/p>\n<p>The statement read \u201cApplicants are expected to apply\/register through the Ogun State Job Portal by logging into<br \/>\nwww.teach.ogunstate.gov.ng<br \/>\n. The period of Online Registration shall be between Wednesday 31st March and Tuesday, 13th April, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSuccessful applicants to be known as TEACh interns shall be deployed to Local Government Areas in dire need of their services and will be given a stipend on monthly basis for a period of Two (2) years, after which they would be assessed on parameters ranging from expertise, commitment to duty, punctuality, respect for constituted authority and willingness to work wherever they are posted to, among others.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOutstanding Teach Interns may be considered for full employment if and when such opportunity arises after the expiration of their internship.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ogun State has announced the commencement process of recruiting casual teachers, who are to work as interns for a period of two years.
