{"id":151313,"date":"2022-02-20T13:40:33","date_gmt":"2022-02-20T12:40:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=151313"},"modified":"2022-02-20T13:40:33","modified_gmt":"2022-02-20T12:40:33","slug":"hushpuppi-fg-told-to-extradite-abba-kyari-to-us-after-ndlea-arrest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/02\/20\/hushpuppi-fg-told-to-extradite-abba-kyari-to-us-after-ndlea-arrest\/","title":{"rendered":"Hushpuppi: FG told to extradite Abba Kyari to US after NDLEA arrest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Federal Government of Nigeria has been urged to allow the suspended head of IRT, DCP Abba Kyari, to be extradited to the United States to face the allegations from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) over the Hushpuppi scandal.<\/p>\n<p>Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide gave the advise in a statement on Sunday by its Secretary-General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro.<\/p>\n<p>The apex Igbo socio-cultural group also advised the FG not to let Kyari remain in Nigeria with his recent arrest by National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).<\/p>\n<p>WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that the United States Department of Justice had said ongoing investigations showed that notorious internet fraudster, Ramon Olorunwa Abbas, popularly known as<a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2021\/07\/29\/hushpuppi-narrates-how-he-bribed-nigerian-top-cop-abba-kyari-in-1-1-million-deal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0Hushpuppi allegedly bribed Kyari<\/a>\u00a0to arrest one Kelly Chibuzo Vincent, one of his accomplices in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content clearfix single-post-content\">\n<p>This publication had also reported that the NDLEA, narrated how it filmed the moment suspended Head of the Intelligence Response Team, DCP Abba <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/02\/14\/how-we-filmed-abba-kyari-offering-61400-cash-for-release-of-25kg-of-cocaine-ndlea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kyari, was negotiating a drug deal for the release of 25kg of cocaine<\/a>\u00a0and offered $61,400 cash to NDLEA officer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"post-share single-post-share bottom-share clearfix style-1\">\n<div class=\"share-handler-wrap bs-pretty-tabs bs-pretty-tabs-initialized\">The statement read, \u201cOhanaeze Ndigbo worldwide has warned that the suspended head of IRT, DCP Abba Kyari should never be allowed to remain in Nigeria with his recent arrest by NDLEA, with overwhelming evidence of complicity in drugs-related cases.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cRather than keeping him here in Nigeria, he should be extradited to the United States to face the allegations from FBI over the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/02\/15\/hushpuppi-only-nigeria-can-explain-why-abba-kyari-hasnt-been-extradited-u-s-govt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hushpuppi<\/a> scandal and criminal activities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDCP Abba Kyari should be allowed to face his crimes in the United States. This will serve as a deterrent to others; this will bolster the fight against corruption.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe activities of suspended DCP <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/02\/15\/how-i-predicted-end-of-abba-kyari-who-killed-innocent-biafrans-simon-ekpa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abba Kyari <\/a>in Imo State and the Southeast was dubious and controversial based on the fact that those who were allegedly killed by Abba Kyari, should have been allowed to face the consequences of their actions in any competent court of jurisdiction.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe overflow of corpses of Igbo youths at the FMC Owerri and other places in the South-East was the alleged handiwork of IRT team, led by Kyari; no wonder that nemesis caught up with Abba Kyari so quickly. His appetite for the looting of his suspect\u2019s belongings and cash is second to none; that\u2019s why he was obsessed with covetousness and greed to the point of being unaware of the video recording that was used by the NDLEA against him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is no evidence that IPOB was after Abba Kyari. Nemesis is hunting Kyari.
