{"id":151355,"date":"2022-02-20T14:50:32","date_gmt":"2022-02-20T13:50:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=151355"},"modified":"2022-02-20T14:50:32","modified_gmt":"2022-02-20T13:50:32","slug":"truck-crushes-vehicles-on-lagos-ibadan-expressway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/02\/20\/truck-crushes-vehicles-on-lagos-ibadan-expressway\/","title":{"rendered":"Truck crushes vehicles on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A truck driver has crushed two vehicles around the Arepo-Magboro end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State.<\/p>\n<p>The state Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Ahmed Umar, who confirmed the accident said the nine persons involved in the accident escaped unhurt.<\/p>\n<p>According to Umar, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/01\/13\/truck-driver-kills-two-siblings-in-front-of-mothers-shop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">truck driver<\/a> was driving on top speed when he suddenly ran into the two vehicles whose drivers were attempting to link the expressway.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cNobody died, nobody injured. Nine people including eight men and one woman were involved in the accident. The crash involves three vehicles including two Toyota vehicles and one container truck.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe truck driver was on excess speed but as he approached the narrowed section of the expressway, he lost control of the vehicle and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/11\/27\/photos-19-people-dead-32-injured-after-bus-carrying-catholic-pilgrims-in-mexico-crashed-into-building\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">crashed<\/a> into the two Toyota vehicles that wanted to link the expressway.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur personnel are working with the police and Julius Berger officials to clear the road.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A truck driver has crushed two vehicles around the Arepo-Magboro end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State.
