Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) National Leader, has addressed worries about a Nigerian youth being the country’s next president in 2023.<\/p>\n

Nigerian youths have complained ahead of the 2023 elections that senior leaders should not be allowed to lead the country after President Muhammadu Buhari.<\/p>\n

They believe it is time for a young Nigerian to take the helm of the country.<\/p>\n

However, in a viral video, Tinubu<\/a> stated that he wants the youth to be president of Nigeria, but that this will happen after he has served as president.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, the APC leader made the remark during a visit to the Alaafin of Oyo.
\n\u201cIf you become the President, you want to chase us from the streets?<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ll become old and be president but after me,\u201d Tinubu said.<\/p>\n

The Former Governor of Lagos State had recently announced his intention to contest for president in 2023.<\/p>\n

Tinubu told President Muhammadu Buhari that his decision to run for the presidency was a lifelong aspiration.<\/p>\n
