Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has urged Nigerian youths to compete with the country’s elders in order to run the country.<\/p>\n

After a closed-door meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, Atiku<\/a> talked with reporters.<\/p>\n

When asked how he felt about requests for senior politicians to step down to make way for the young, Atiku stated that the youths should also run.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet the youth compete. It is competition. It\u2019s a democracy,\u201d Atiku replied.<\/p>\n

He revealed that he would declare his 2023 ambition to contest soon.<\/p>\n

Atiku also expressed confidence that he would win the presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), asking, \u201cHave I ever failed to win the ticket?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI came to meet my boss. We will let you know when I\u2019ll declare, we will give a formal announcement,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
