{"id":154521,"date":"2022-02-27T10:44:15","date_gmt":"2022-02-27T09:44:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=154521"},"modified":"2022-02-27T12:47:35","modified_gmt":"2022-02-27T11:47:35","slug":"fake-doctor-cuts-off-patients-hand-in-osun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/02\/27\/fake-doctor-cuts-off-patients-hand-in-osun\/","title":{"rendered":"Fake doctor cuts off patient\u2019s hand in Osun"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A fake medical doctor, Yusuf Olaniyi, was arraigned before a court yesterday in Ede, Osun State, for allegedly cutting off a patient\u2019s hand.<\/p>\n<p>Olaniyi is being tried for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/01\/21\/imo-sacked-hospital-worker-arrested-over-attempted-murder-police\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">attempted murder<\/a>, false representation, breach of public peace and unprofessional act.<\/p>\n<p>Police prosecutor, Inspector Rasak Lamidi told the court that the defendant committed the offences between August 3 and November 27, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Olaniyi pleaded not guilty to the charges.<\/p>\n<p>According to the prosecutor, Olaniyi allegedly paraded himself as a medical practitioner and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/10\/31\/navy-storms-lagos-community-after-cultists-cut-off-officers-hand-and-stole-his-rifle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cut off the hand<\/a> of his patient, knowing full well that he was not qualified to do so.<\/p>\n<p>Lamidi said the situation led to the breach of public peace between the family of the patient and the defendant.<\/p>\n<p>The Magistrate, Mrs O.
