Following the release of Super Eagles 25-man list for this month\u2019s crucial 2022 World Cup qualifiers against the Black Stars of Ghana, former Nigerian youth team coach, Samson Siasia has faulted Austin Eguavoen.<\/p>\n

Recall that days ago, Austine Eguavoen, Super Eagles interim coach released the names of the 25 players invited for the two legged games while seven players are on stand-by.<\/p>\n

The list included new names Akinkunmi Amoo and Ademola Lookman, long term injury absentee Oghenekaro Etebo and Ogenyi Onazi, who has not been invited to the Super Eagles for over two years, was named on the standby list.<\/p>\n

Siasia<\/a> says he is not in support of the list, saying the coach should use players he knows.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou need to play people that understand themselves if you bring new ones it becomes difficult for them to understand themselves and play the partner you want to play,\u201d he said on Brila FM.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me it\u2019s not the right decision to bring new players, you are better off with the ones you know already that have been playing together and understand themselves because you have three days to practice before you go to Ghana. So for me this is not the right list.\u201c<\/p>\n

The first leg between the Black Stars and the Eagles will hold on 25th March in Cape Coast while the reverse fixture will take place four days later in Abuja.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
