Reports that Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has been removed from his position, have been addressed by his special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor.<\/p>\n

Ejimakor stressed that the Director of IPOB in the United Kingdom, UK, is still Kanu<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Earlier there was a report that Kanu was removed as the Director of IPOB and was replaced with Sofia Chinyere Kalu.<\/p>\n

Mrs Kalu is said to be the group\u2019s Financial Secretary in the UK.<\/p>\n

According to Ezeji Chukwuma, a separatist who manages IPOB and Radio Biafra Community Interest Companies (CIC) Registry in London, UK, Kalu is the new Director of IPOB worldwide.<\/p>\n

This claim was re-echoed by Simon Ekpa, a self-styled disciple of Nnamdi Kanu.<\/p>\n

However, Ejimakor described such reports as false.<\/p>\n

In a chat with DAILY POST, the Special Counsel said IPOB\u2019s structure has not changed.<\/p>\n

According to Ejimakor, the entire structure of IPOB was behind Kanu.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThe report is untrue in its entirety. The organizational structure of IPOB as a legal entity in the UK remains as it was, with Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as the Director\u201d.<\/p>\n

Kanu is locked up by the Department of State Services, DSS, on the order of an Abuja Federal High Court.<\/p>\n
