Monday Kuryas, the commissioner of police in Anambra state has stated that\u00a0the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and Anambra state governorship aspirant, Charles Soludo, is safe.<\/p>\n

Recall that the former central bank governor, Soludo was attacked during a rally<\/a><\/strong> he was holding in\u00a0Isuofia community in Aguata Local Government Area of the state.<\/p>\n

According to report, the venue of the rally was invaded by unknown gunmen<\/a> who shot sporadically into the air and eventually killed three of the security details of the ex-CBN governor.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the incident during an interview with Channels TV, the state commissioner of police, Monday Kuryas said\u00a0Mr. Soludo is safe.<\/p>\n

He, however, disclosed that the state Commissioner for Public Utilities,\u00a0 Emeka Ezenwanne, was abducted by the gunmen.<\/p>\n

P”The former CBN governor was holding a townhall meeting with the youths of his community called Isuofia in Aguata local government area of the state.<\/span><\/p>\n

Suddenly, unknown gunmen attacked my men that were providing security for him. In the exchange of fire, three of my men were killed but the Professor is safe.<\/p>\n

However, the Commisioner for Public Utilities, Engr Emeka Ezenwanne, was abducted in the process and my men are on the heels of the abductors, he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
