{"id":160067,"date":"2022-03-10T20:24:25","date_gmt":"2022-03-10T19:24:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=160067"},"modified":"2022-03-10T21:39:59","modified_gmt":"2022-03-10T20:39:59","slug":"two-injured-as-tanker-explodes-after-colliding-with-2-vehicles-on-lagos-ibadan-expressway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/03\/10\/two-injured-as-tanker-explodes-after-colliding-with-2-vehicles-on-lagos-ibadan-expressway\/","title":{"rendered":"Tanker explodes after colliding with 2 vehicles on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two persons were injured after a diesel tanker exploded opposite the Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries\u2019 Prayer City along the Lagos Ibadan Expressway on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The Ogun State Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC spokesperson, Florence Okpe, who confirmed the incident in a statement, said five persons were involved in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/03\/10\/no-policeman-died-in-my-convoy-fashola\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">accident<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The statement read; \u201cThe crash occurred at about 1405HRS on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/03\/06\/two-dead-eight-injured-in-lagos-ibadan-expressway-accident\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lagos-Ibadan Expressway<\/a> opposite MFM church.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA total of five persons were involved and they are all male adults. Two persons were injured and no death was recorded from the road traffic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/03\/09\/four-policemen-feared-dead-as-fashola-ngiges-convoy-crashes-in-delta\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">crash<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThree vehicles were involved with registration numbers AAA251HE<br \/>\nTOYOTA CAMRY CAR ASH, LSD828GS TOYOTA COROLLA CAR, and Mack <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/03\/03\/three-killed-as-bus-rammed-into-stationary-truck-in-rivers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Truck<\/a> with no number on it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe suspected causes of the multiple crashes were speed, brake failure, and loss of control on the part of the tanker.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe rescue operation is still on to put the fire under control by personnel of Ogun state Fire service. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/02\/21\/frsc-4-die-7-injured-in-bauchi-auto-crash\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FRSC<\/a> men are managing the traffic situation assisted by other agencies.
