On the part of the government, if any Nigerian wants to participate in the upstream activities, they can contact the regulatory body for guidance\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Timipre Sylva, minister of state for petroleum resources, said<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>the federal government is determined to end illegal oil bunkering in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Austin Avuru, former chief executive officer of Seplat Energy Plc, had lamented <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">over the activities of illegal oil bunkers, saying 80 percent of Nigeria\u2019s oil production fell into their hands.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has stated that it will work with relevant stakeholders to tackle oil theft and illegal refineries.
