{"id":169971,"date":"2022-03-30T23:02:52","date_gmt":"2022-03-30T22:02:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=169971"},"modified":"2022-03-30T23:02:52","modified_gmt":"2022-03-30T22:02:52","slug":"29-year-old-baby-man-that-never-grew","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/03\/30\/29-year-old-baby-man-that-never-grew\/","title":{"rendered":"29-year-old baby man that never grew"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 29-year-old man, known simply as Pingping has gone viral for not growing beyond a baby stature.<\/p>\n<p>The baby man was reported to be suffering from a rare genetic illness that hampered his growth.<\/p>\n<p>The medical condition affecting Pingping was said to be Progeria.<\/p>\n<p>The video which went viral on social media showed Pingping being handled as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/02\/09\/toddler-in-mexico-dies-after-eating-poisoned-dog-treat-meant-to-kill-a-dog\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">toddler<\/a> despite being old.<\/p>\n<p>He was reported to have his own family.<\/p>\n<p>According to Mayo Clinic, Progeria, also known as Hutchinson-Gilford syndrome, is an extremely rare, progressive genetic disorder that causes children to age rapidly, starting in their first two years of life.<\/p>\n<p>Children with progeria generally appeared normal at birth. During the first year, signs and symptoms, such as slow growth and hair loss, began to appear.<\/p>\n<p>Heart problems or strokes were the eventual cause of death in most children with progeria.
