{"id":172353,"date":"2022-04-05T06:57:30","date_gmt":"2022-04-05T05:57:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=172353"},"modified":"2022-04-05T12:01:52","modified_gmt":"2022-04-05T11:01:52","slug":"pos-operator-commits-suicide-over-n520000-loan-in-abuja","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/04\/05\/pos-operator-commits-suicide-over-n520000-loan-in-abuja\/","title":{"rendered":"POS operator commits suicide over N520,000 loan in Abuja"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>35-year-old, Ibrahim Haruna, has committed suicide over N520,000 he borrowed from friends to scale up his Point of Sale (POS) business.<\/p>\n<p>The incident was said to have occurred at his residence in Byazhin area of Kubwa in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.<\/p>\n<p>According to Daily Trust, the deceased\u2019s younger brother, Isah, said that things were not going well for his brother and that he was certain the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/03\/07\/construction-worker-commits-suicide-over-akwa-ibom-govts-alleged-failure-to-pay-debt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">debt<\/a> was responsible for his brother drinking the otapiapia.<\/p>\n<p>Isah said, \u201cMy brother once jokingly told me that he would <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/11\/23\/passenger-kills-himself-in-airplane-toilet-during-flight-from-egypt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kill himself<\/a> because of the pressure he was getting from people to return their money, but I always told him everything would be okay.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One of the residents, Yinka Ogunleye, who expressed shock at the news, said, \u201cHe called many friends earlier on that day informing them that he was embarking on a very far journey?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe even visited various joints in the area before heading home to take the otapiapia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A health worker at the Kubwa General Hospital, who pleaded anonymity, who confirmed the incident said that his remains had been taken to the morgue.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>35-year-old, Ibrahim Haruna, has committed suicide over N520,000 he borrowed from friends to scale up his Point of Sale (POS) business.
