On Monday, bandits kidnapped a University student and another person in Gwantu Kurmi, the capital of Kaduna State’s Sanga Local Government Area.<\/p>\n

One other individual was also hurt by the bandits and was rushed to an unnamed hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

This was said by Prince Bala Audu, President of the Gwantu People’s Progressive Union.<\/p>\n

According to him, \u201cJoshua Victor Arumbus of the Department of Architecture, Kaduna State University, and a passer-by, Mr. Simon, were kidnapped, while one person was critically injured.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said the armed men stormed the community<\/a> on Saturday at around 9:13pm on foot and started shooting indiscriminately at the residents.<\/p>\n

He expressed fear over increasing incidents of kidnapping within Sanga Local Government and called on the security agencies to improve on their response to distress calls from the communities.<\/p>\n

He also called on Kaduna State Government to take drastic measures in curtailing the security menace ravaging the state.<\/p>\n
