{"id":181320,"date":"2022-04-22T05:35:37","date_gmt":"2022-04-22T04:35:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=181320"},"modified":"2022-04-22T05:35:37","modified_gmt":"2022-04-22T04:35:37","slug":"my-neighbour-gave-my-wife-substance-to-put-in-my-food-after-having-sex-with-her-benue-man-tells-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/04\/22\/my-neighbour-gave-my-wife-substance-to-put-in-my-food-after-having-sex-with-her-benue-man-tells-court\/","title":{"rendered":"My neighbour gave my wife substance to put in my food after having sex with her &#8211; Benue man tells court"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>35-year-old man, Terver Ukyagh, and a housewife, Sewuese Peter, 35, have been arraigned before a Makurdi Upper Area Court over alleged criminal conspiracy, adultery and intimidation.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecutor, Inspector Veronica Shaagee, told the court that one Peter Ako, of behind Modern Market, Makurdi, reported the case at \u2018D\u2019 Division Police Station, Ankpa ward, Makurdi, on April 17.<\/p>\n<p>Shaagee said that Peter explained that on the same date, he discovered that Ukyagh, of same address, was having <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/01\/27\/ogun-pastor-arrested-for-allegedly-having-sex-with-church-member-and-her-two-daughters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">carnal knowledge<\/a> of his wife, Sewuese.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn Apri 17, I discovered that Terver Ukyagh was having carnal knowledge of my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/04\/20\/my-wife-got-me-detained-to-continue-her-adultery-man-tells-ibadan-court\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wife<\/a>, Sewuese Peter, and he gave her some substance to put in my food, with the intent to kill me,\u201d she quoted the complainant as saying.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecutor said that the defendants were arrested during police investigation, with Sawuese confessing to the crime while Ukyagh denied all the allegations.<\/p>\n<p>She said the offences contravene Sections 97, 387, 389 of the Penal Code, Law of Benue State, 2004.<\/p>\n<p>Shaagee revealed that investigations into the case had been completed and requested for date for hearing.<\/p>\n<p>The Magistrate, Mrs Dooshima Ikpambese, granted Ukyagh and Sewuese bail in the sum of N100,000 and N50,000, respectively, with one surety each in like sum.<\/p>\n<p>She said that the sureties must have fixed addresses within the jurisdiction of the court.<\/p>\n<p>Ikpambese, thereafter, adjourned the case till May 25, for hearing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>35-year-old man, Terver Ukyagh, and a housewife, Sewuese Peter, 35, have been arraigned before a Makurdi Upper Area Court over alleged criminal conspiracy, adultery and intimidation.
