Enoch Katwesigye Kyebijunga, a retired UPDF soldier in a gold scam that saw an American National lose over US$ 3.5m.<\/p>\n<p>Kyebijunga was charged for money laundering together with a lawyer, Simon Peter Musangala and Martin Bwayo, a police officer. They have been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/02\/26\/six-fake-soldiers-arrested-in-delta\/\">operating<\/a> under the disguise of a company called Kings-way Uganda Limited purportedly a clearing agent,\u201d said Twine.<\/p>\n<p>Twine said investigations reveal that the case was committed with a lot of syndicates that involved some people from the West and [Ugandans].<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We generated a search warrant from court and planned for a raid where police arrested eight people from countries of Nigeria, Rwanda, Burundi and Congo,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-1829\" src=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/02\/ify-davies\/2021\/02\/26\/60393953a2ae1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"539\" height=\"873\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/02\/ify-davies\/2021\/02\/26\/60393953a2ae1.jpg 664w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/02\/ify-davies\/2021\/02\/26\/60393953a2ae1-185x300.jpg 185w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/02\/ify-davies\/2021\/02\/26\/60393953a2ae1-632x1024.jpg 632w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 539px) 100vw, 539px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The police investigations indicate that the suspects first registered their company in the name of Kings Way Uganda Limited with the help of some Ugandans. They later rented \u201ca spacious house\u201d in Munyonyo where they have been executing their deals.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects secured a bank account in one of the commercial banks in town which they used in the alleged theft.
