{"id":183614,"date":"2022-04-28T13:31:18","date_gmt":"2022-04-28T12:31:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=183614"},"modified":"2022-04-28T13:31:18","modified_gmt":"2022-04-28T12:31:18","slug":"man-sent-to-prison-for-raping-12-year-old-stepdaughter-in-lagos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/04\/28\/man-sent-to-prison-for-raping-12-year-old-stepdaughter-in-lagos\/","title":{"rendered":"Man sent to prison for raping 12-year-old stepdaughter in Lagos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>29-year-old Ugochukwu Okafor, has been remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly defiled his 12-year-old stepdaughter in Oworonshoki area in Lagos State.<\/p>\n<p>The Prosecution Counsel, Insp Donjour Perezi, told the Ogudu Magistrates\u2019 Court on Thursday that Okafor committed the offence sometime in 2021, in his residence at Oworonshoki.<\/p>\n<p>The police said that the matter was reported at the Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Agency, Alausa.<\/p>\n<p>Perezi said that Okafor sexually abused his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/09\/21\/man-arrested-for-allegedly-defiling-5-year-old-stepdaughter-in-ogun\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stepdaughter<\/a> twice and her mother, who is aware and even caught her husband red-handed once, refused to take any legal action<\/p>\n<p>The police charged Okafor with one count of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/08\/07\/police-nab-father-over-alleged-defilement-of-four-daughters-in-lagos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">defilement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Magistrate, Mrs M.O.
