Suspected herdsmen have slaughtered a farmer, Musa Monsuro, on his cashew farm at Araromi village, Igboora, in the Ibarapa Central Local Government Area of Oyo State.<\/p>\n

Monsuro was reportedly hacked to death<\/a> around 5pm on Monday. The reason he was killed could not be ascertained as at the time of filling this report.<\/p>\n

According to PUNCH, some residents on Tuesday said that security agents were alerted and they went to the farm to pick the corpse, which was taken to a mortuary.<\/p>\n

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, who confirmed the incident in a text message said, \u201cThe case is undergoing investigation. You will be updated accordingly.\u201d<\/p>\n

The killing is coming after a break of some months in killings, raping, destroying farmlands by suspected herdsmen\u00a0after Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Igboho, visited the area to warn against such acts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
