{"id":185185,"date":"2022-05-04T15:13:11","date_gmt":"2022-05-04T14:13:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=185185"},"modified":"2022-05-05T07:09:14","modified_gmt":"2022-05-05T06:09:14","slug":"court-sentences-pastor-to-life-imprisonment-for-defiling-friends-twin-daughters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/05\/04\/court-sentences-pastor-to-life-imprisonment-for-defiling-friends-twin-daughters\/","title":{"rendered":"Lagos Pastor who defiled friend&#8217;s twin daughters bags life imprisonment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Micheal Oliseh, the assistant pastor of the Anointed Chosen Vessel Ministry in Okota, Lagos has been sentenced to life imprisonment by an Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on Wednesday for defiling his friend\u2019s 12-year-old twin daughters.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Abiola Soladoye while delivering judgment described\u00a0Oliseh as a \u201cserial rapist\u201d who took turns defiling his friend\u2019s daughters.<\/p>\n<p>Soladoye held that the prosecution had convincingly proved the charges of defilement against Oliseh, 54, beyond any reasonable doubt.<\/p>\n<p>She sentenced Oliseh to life imprisonment on the two-count charge bordering on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/08\/07\/police-nab-father-over-alleged-defilement-of-four-daughters-in-lagos\/\">defilement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The judge said, \u201cThe testimony of the defendant portrayed him as a serial rapist who took turns to defile the survivors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat a disloyal and untrustworthy pastor, who shamelessly and audaciously had sexual intercourse with his friend\u2019s children who were entrusted in his care.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis conduct is unbecoming of a pastor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHaving been found guilty as charged with the two offences, the defendant is hereby sentenced to life imprisonment.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The judge said that the sentences should run concurrently, adding that should have his name entered in the Sex Offenders Register of the Lagos State Government.<\/p>\n<p>She also berated the parents of the survivors for lack of discipline by sending the survivors to stay with the convict.<\/p>\n<p>Soladoye said, \u201cParents of the survivors lack discipline and ought not to have sent their children to go stay in Oliseh\u2019s house.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChildren aren\u2019t to be entrusted with rowdy adults.
