The trio were abducted two weeks ago on their way to Kaduna.<\/p>\n
The lecturer and her daughter, who were traveling in a chartered vehicle, were kidnapped by bandits near Kasuwan Magani, in Kajuru LGA.<\/p>\n
They were kidnapped after the conclusion of their humanitarian and welfare service at Mariri community in Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State on 24 April, 2022.<\/p>\n
Sources from Mariri disclosed that as part of her Barkindo-Rahama Initiative, the engineer often distributes household items to the less privileged, the latest were cloths and other basic items to orphans ahead of the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.<\/p>\n
Family home in Kaduna, gathered that the engineer and her daughter are still being held by their captives though negotiations are on.<\/p>\n
A source within the family who spoke in confidence said the family is reluctant to comment on the issue because the various stories reported on social media on the incident almost jeopardized the lives of their loved ones.<\/p>\n
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the bandits had demanded N100 million ransom for their release but the family is in talks with them to see how the ransom can be reduced.<\/p>\n
