Deborah Samuel, a 200-level student at Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto State, was burned to death on Thursday, according to the British government.<\/p>\n

According to reports, the girl was beaten to a pulp and burned alive by male Muslim classmates<\/a> who accused her of disrespecting Prophet Muhammed on WhatsApp.<\/p>\n

As people of the region became tense, the school administration decided to halt academic activity indefinitely.<\/p>\n

Nigerians have reacted in a variety of ways, with many condemning the behavior.<\/p>\n

Catriona Laing, the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, responded on Twitter by urging President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to apprehend and prosecute the culprits.<\/p>\n
