The General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry, Chibuzor Chinyere, has donated a mini estate and a car to Garba Emmanuel, the father of slain Deborah Samuel.<\/p>\n
The cleric also relocated the family to Port Harcourt and promised Deborah\u2019s seven siblings \u201cautomatic scholarships\u201d.<\/p>\n
Chinyere, in a Facebook post on Tuesday, posted photos of the flats and the car alongside those of the bereaved family of Deborah.<\/p>\n
He wrote, \u201cIn fulfilment of my earlier promise and in honour of the late Deborah Samuel, I on behalf of the Omega Power Ministry relocated and donated a 14-flats-mini estate and a Corolla car, for Uber business, to her family in Port Harcourt.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe estate was registered in their name immediately.<\/p>\n
\u201cMay God take all glory and honour. Amen!\u201d<\/p>\n
Deborah, a 200-level student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, was stoned and burnt on the school campus last Thursday for allegedly blaspheming Prophet Muhammad.<\/p>\n
Her killing had sparked outrage across the country with many calling for the swift prosecution of two suspects arrested in connection with the crime while some Muslim youths also demanded the release of the suspects last Saturday.<\/p>\n
The protesters rioted, vandalised and burnt market stalls, churches and structures perceived to belong to Christians.<\/p>\n
Governor Aminu Tambuwal subsequently imposed a curfew on the state to stem the violence that broke out.<\/p>\n
Deborah\u2019s mother, Aileri Emmanuel, had said that she would never send her remaining seven children to school because of the barbaric murder of her daughter.<\/p>\n
Emmanuel amid tears said, \u201cI have no demands; I don\u2019t want anything but one thing I know is that my children will never go to school again.\u201d<\/p>\n
The deceased\u2019s father, who was a security guard with the Niger State Water and Sanitation, also lamented that he used his whole savings to send his eldest child (Deborah) to school.<\/p>\n
Chinyere had earlier in March offered scholarships to two Nigerian security guards who were sacked after being seen dancing during work hours in a viral video.<\/p>\n
