A Magistrate’s Court in Ilorin remanded a 30-year-old farmer, Alli Hassan, on Wednesday for allegedly threatening to kill his biological father, Hassan Auta.<\/p>\n

The suspect was arrested by the Kwara State Police Command after he allegedly threatened to kill his father, Hassan Auta, with a cutlass in the Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state.<\/p>\n

According to the police report, the defendant’s father reported to the Share police station that his son arrived home late and drunk on the fateful day.<\/p>\n

It was revealed that the defendant went<\/a> into his wife’s room with a cutlass and threatened to kill her unless she packed her belongings out of the house.<\/p>\n

With the same cutlass, the suspect went into his father’s room and threatened to kill him.<\/p>\n

The prosecutor, Issa Abubakar, urged the court to remand the defendant in the Correctional Service facility, saying his offence is not ordinarily bailable.<\/p>\n

The trial Magistrate, Abiola Agbetola Issa, who presided over the matter, ordered that the defendant be remanded in custody, while the matter was adjourned to June 22, 2022.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
