Afenifere Egbe Ilosiwaju Yoruba, a socio-cultural group has congratulated former\u00a0Lagos State governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his emergence as the presidential flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC).<\/p>\n

The group also praised President Muhammadu Buhari for providing good leadership and allowed due process to be followed in the selection of the presidential flag bearer saying the conduct of the primary showed Nigeria is being led by a democrat.<\/p>\n

It further congratulated the national executives of the party for conducting a free and fair primary<\/p>\n

In a statement on Thursday by the secretary of the group, Mr Bayo Aina, the group lauded the APC<\/a> Northern Governors for their commitment to power shift that led to the realisation of a southern candidate as the presidential candidate of the party.<\/p>\n

The group under the leadership of elder statesman, Prince Tajudeen Olusi commended all the aspirants in the party for their conduct before, during and after the primary.<\/p>\n

It called on leaders of the party to unite behind the presidential candidate and work for the success of the party in the coming general elections.<\/p>\n

The group said whatever differences that exist within the party must be resolved amicably as the nation depends on it to continue the good work President Buhari has started.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
