Security operatives have rearrested a prisoner who escaped from a correctional facility in Edo State <\/p>\n

The prisoner was feigning mental instability to hoodwink unsuspecting members of the public and evade arrest when he was nabbed. <\/p>\n

The escape, it was gathered, was among inmates that escaped from a correctional centre following a jailbreak during the #EndSARs protest<\/a> in the state in 2020.<\/p>\n

It was further learnt that the escapee had been hibernating around the correctional centre for over three weeks before he was apprehended.<\/p>\n

A security operative said an Android phone was recovered from the escapee after a search conducted on him.<\/p>\n

The spokesman of the correctional service in the state, Aminu Suleiman, said he was yet to be briefed about the incident.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
