The National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Adamu Abdullahi, is currently meeting with the party\u2019s senators.<\/p>\n
The announcement of the meeting was contained in letter signed by the Senate Deputy Majority leader, Ajayi Borofice, and read by Senate President, Ahmed Lawan.<\/p>\n
Lawan while reading the letter had announced that the meeting will take place by 2 pm. <\/p>\n
Adamu arrived at the National Assembly complex some minutes past 2 pm and moved to the office of the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, for a brief meeting before the general meeting.<\/p>\n
The meeting may not be unconnected to the gale of defection that’s plagued the APC in recent weeks as the party\u2019s majority status at the upper legislative chamber dwindles. <\/p>\n
It’s learnt that the number of APC senators has dropped to 62 after consistent defection from the party\u2019s lawmakers especially those who were unable to secure return tickets to the chamber.<\/p>\n
