Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has described Africa’s richest man and chairman of Dangote group as a key partner and warrior in the fight against COVID-19 in the country.<\/p>\n

This was contained in a statement released on Saturday by the presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu.<\/p>\n

The commendation by the president was given in\u00a0commemoration of Dangote\u2019s 64th birthday.<\/p>\n

Recall that\u00a0Dangote Group<\/a> is a member of private sector-led coalition against COVID-19 (CACOVID).<\/p>\n

Buhari said the \u201ccorona warrior\u201d has continued to show consistent faith and belief in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

He said the burden of the coronavirus pandemic has been lighter for both the citizens and government because people like Dangote<\/a> provided needed support and cooperation.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe also commended the President of Dangote group for giving wings to the aspirations of many youngsters and professionals in Nigeria and the rest of the continent, urging him to continue to do more,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Buhari added that these exemplary efforts will go down in history and will be remembered by future generations.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe wished him many more years of healthy life and service to nation and humanity.\u201d<\/p>\n
