Gunmen have Mua\u2019zu Danladi, a relation of former Governor Adamu Mua\u2019zu, and abducted three persons at Boto village of Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old Danladi was killed when gunmen invaded the residence of Muazu\u2019s family members in the early hours of Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Among the abductees are Hajiya Asma\u2019u Alhaji Adamu, the younger sister to the ex-governor, Malama Halima Abdullahi and one Nura.<\/p>\n

According to Daily Trust,\u00a0 a witness identified as Hashimu Abubakar Boto said, \u201cThe gunmen<\/a> came around 1am and went straight to the house where my brother used to sleep, they broke the gate and started asking him where the ex-governor\u2019s children or grandchildren were? They searched the house but couldn\u2019t find anyone, that was how they shot him on the head and abducted three family members.\u201d<\/p>\n

The deceased\u2019s mother, Hajiya Sa\u2019adatu Adamu Mua\u2019zu, who spoke on the last encounter she had with her son said, \u201cMy son was kind, obedient and religious. He focused on his daily activities; he didn\u2019t involve himself in any fight with his brothers and neighbours.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy last encounter with him was last night when he showed me the picture of his sister who is studying in Uganda and asked me about his Sallah meat, that was my last moment with him.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Youth leader at Kardam B Ward, Auwalu Abdullahi Adamu, whose mother is one of abductees, said he was sleeping in his house when he heard gunshots.<\/p>\n

The younger brother to ex-governor, Umar Adamu Mua\u2019zu, said the kidnappers<\/a> first went to his elder brother\u2019s house Abdurrashid Adamu Mua\u2019zu, thinking he was there for Sallah.<\/p>\n

He said the kidnappers had not contacted family members for ransom, disclosing that all the phone numbers of the victims were switched off.<\/p>\n

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, who confirmed the incident said the command was working relentlessly to rescue the victims.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
