The Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has explained the reason behind his decision for choosing Bishop Isaac Idahosa as his running mate for the 2023 presidential election.<\/p>\n

WITHIN NIGERIA had reported that Kwankwaso had chosen the 57-year-old clergyman<\/a> as his running mate for the 2023 elections.<\/p>\n

Kwankwaso said Idahosa was selected because of his outstanding record, integrity, broad understanding of Nigeria and its contemporary challenges.<\/p>\n

The former Kano State governor disclosed this in a statement on Thursday titled, \u2018Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso<\/a> picks Bishop Idahosa as running mate.\u2019<\/p>\n

The statement read in part, \u201cIdahosa was selected because of his outstanding record, his impeccable integrity, his broad understanding of the Nigerian State and its contemporary challenges, his undiluted commitment to improving the conditions of Nigerians, and his sincere belief that a new and better Nigeria is possible if we work together with sincerity, tolerance, competence, and faith.<\/p>\n

\u201cA self-made achiever and a credible Nigerian, Bishop Idahosa is also selected because he represents the definition of a true role model for the Nigerian Youth.<\/p>\n

\u201cKwankwaso expresses happiness that this patriotic Nigerian man-of-God will work with him in the journey to save the country from the current drift and create a new Nigeria where justice, equity, fairness, unity, security and development are assured.<\/p>\n

\u201cBishop Isaac Idahosa will be publicly and official unveiled to Nigerians on Monday, July 18, 2022 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja by 10 am.\u201d<\/p>\n

Idahosa is the presiding Bishop and Senior Pastor of the God First Ministry, Lekki Light Centre, Ajah, who hails from Edo State.<\/p>\n

The clergyman is a trained Automobile Engineer from the Kaduna Polytechnic and also has Master’s and Doctorate degrees in theology.<\/p>\n
