{"id":203718,"date":"2022-07-15T19:28:09","date_gmt":"2022-07-15T18:28:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=203718"},"modified":"2022-07-15T19:28:09","modified_gmt":"2022-07-15T18:28:09","slug":"court-extends-order-stopping-fct-minister-fcda-from-demolishing-kpokpogris-house","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/07\/15\/court-extends-order-stopping-fct-minister-fcda-from-demolishing-kpokpogris-house\/","title":{"rendered":"Court extends order stopping FCT Minister, FCDA, from demolishing Kpokpogri\u2019s house"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A restraining order issued against the FCT Minister, the Federal Capital Territory Administration, and the Federal Capital Development Authority, stopping them from demolishing a house on plots 203 and 204, 27 Road, Guzape District, Abuja, belonging to Prince Joseph Kpokpogri has been extended by a Federal Capital Territory High Court.<\/p>\n<p>This was after the house in question was been partly destroyed by the FCT Administration.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Charles Agbaza made the pronouncement on Friday, July 7, upon an ex-parte application moved on behalf of Kpokpogri by his lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome SAN<\/p>\n<p>Other defendants joined in the matter are the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council, the Federal Housing Authority, and the Attorney General of the Federation.<\/p>\n<p>After listening to Ozekhome, the presiding judge issued an order of interim injunction restraining the defendants either by themselves, agents, officials, privies, all those purporting to have derived title from them or other persons howsoever called from trespassing on or further trespassing on, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/06\/11\/soludo-demolishes-building-used-as-kidnappers-hideout-as-security-make-more-arrests\/\">demolishing<\/a>, or further demolishing the property known as Plots 203 and 204, 27 Road, Gusape District, Apo Estate, Abuja, covered by letters of allocation issued by the Federal Housing Authority with Ref. No. FHA\/BD\/ES\/APO\/P.203 and Ref.
