There was palpable trepidation in Owhase Community, Udu Local Government Area of Delta State following the killing of two vigilante men in the community by suspected cultists. <\/p>\n
The two men were shot dead on Wednesday night. <\/p>\n
Details of the cause of the killing were still sketchy at the time of this report.<\/p>\n
According to media report, the locals have been living in fear as the suspected cultists continue to terrorise the Community with their guns and other dangerous weapons since Thursday morning.<\/p>\n
Some residents and indigenes are already relocating from the Community for fear of attacks.<\/p>\n
A resident of the Community who craved anonymity with said, the vigilante in time past, had an encounter with the suspected cultists and got some of them arrested by the Police and in a reprisal attack yesterday, they shot sporadically, attacked and killed the two vigilante men during fierce gun battle.<\/p>\n
The police in the state are yet to issue a statement regarding the incident. <\/p>\n
