Gunmen shot and killed Abejide Ojo, a commercial motorcyclist, on the Ilemeso-Isan-Ekiti road in Ekiti State on Thursday.<\/p>\n

According to a witness who spoke to the media, the deceased was approached by the thugs as he was travelling from Ilemeso, Ekiti, to Isan, Ekiti.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThe motorcyclist was on his way back<\/a> to Isan-Ekiti when he met some gunmen who asked him to carry them to a forest.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe declined their request and this led to a fight with the criminals. He later escaped from the scene but was chased and shot severally by the hoodlums<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The spokesman for the state police command, Sunday Abutu, however, promised to brief journalists as soon as he gets comprehensive details on the incident.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
