Fire reportedly gutted a shopping mall on Wednesday morning at Ligali Ayorinde junction, Victoria Island, Lagos.<\/p>\n

Firefighters in a trending video clip on social media<\/a> are seen struggling to quench the fire.<\/p>\n

Speaking to newsmen, the Lagos Coordinator of National Emergency Management Agency, Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, confirmed the incident.<\/p>\n

He said the fire had been put out through combined efforts by Federal and Lagos State fire services.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fire incident happened at a shopping centre but it has been handled by Federal and state fire services,\u201d Farinloye said.<\/p>\n

On the possible cause for the incident, the NEMA<\/a> Lagos Coordinator said an investigation was ongoing and the report would be made available upon completion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
