Political analyst, Deji Adeyanju, has said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, wasted time his time travelling to London for a meeting with Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike.<\/p>\n

WITHIN NIGERIA had reported that Atiku on Thursday met with Wike<\/a>, Governors Samuel Ortom of Benue State; Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia, in London.<\/p>\n

This was after Wike had met with the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in France.<\/p>\n

Wike and Atiku have been at loggerheads over the outcome of the PDP presidential primary with the Rivers State governor accusing the PDP leaders of not following laid down rules in the election held in Abuja.<\/p>\n

The crisis deepened after Atiku chose Delta State governor Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate.<\/p>\n

While explaining the rationale behind his choice, Atiku said Okowa is highly experienced, adding that he consulted widely before picking the former lawmaker.<\/p>\n

Reacting to the London meeting in a tweet on Friday, Adeyanju<\/a> said Wike and other members of his team \u201care already committed to working for Tinubu and have extracted a serious agreement from him.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also tweeted, \u201cAtiku is just wasting his time by going to meet these people. They are already committed to working for Tinubu and have extracted serious agreement from him. Every other thing is film and acting. This is the only election season where opposition are meeting ruling party folks.<\/p>\n
