{"id":214548,"date":"2022-09-05T03:58:37","date_gmt":"2022-09-05T02:58:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=214548"},"modified":"2022-09-05T03:58:37","modified_gmt":"2022-09-05T02:58:37","slug":"peter-obi-wont-get-25-votes-in-24-states-obahiagbon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/09\/05\/peter-obi-wont-get-25-votes-in-24-states-obahiagbon\/","title":{"rendered":"Peter Obi won\u2019t get 25% votes in 24 states &#8211; Obahiagbon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former federal lawmaker, Patrick Obahiagbon has said that the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi won&#8217;t get 25% of votes in 24 states across the country in the 2023 elections.<\/p>\n<p>Obahiagbon said though the upcoming presidential election will be keenly contested by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), it has thrown up three major presidential candidates.<\/p>\n<p>He stated this while speaking during an interview on Arise TV.<\/p>\n<p>He said; \u201cOnly two major political parties are coming into this election. The two major political parties are the APC and the PDP.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut that asseveration notwithstanding, I make bold to assert that even though this election is going to be contested by two major political parties, the election is throwing up three major presidential aspirants.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Obahiagbon stated that those backing Obi\u2019s presidential bid are Nigerians who have become \u201ccompletely tired\u201d of the current political class. The former lawmaker also applauded Obi\u2019s courage and sincerity \u201cto want to cleanse the Nigerian system\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>He added; \u201cI do sincerely hope that Nigeria\u2019s parasitic political class are learning the necessary lessons that have greeted the emergence of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/09\/03\/2023-peter-obi-is-part-of-the-old-system-nigerians-want-change-sowore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Peter Obi<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA favour that his supporters refer to as Obidient movement but which I choose to describe as the emerging, surging political sirocco of the Obi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNigerians and particularly Nigerian youths have become completely dissatisfied and languorous as to the failings and frailty of the entire Nigerian political class be it APC, PDP NNPP etc.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the statement that Nigerians and Nigerian youths are making. They made that first statement which galvanise into the protest that led to the end SARS debate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Peter Obi movement is a resurgence and emergence of that dissatisfaction.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCan Peter Obi ride on the crest and wave Nigeria\u2019s disappointment into the comfortable bowels of the Aso Rock Villa? I say no.
