A yet-to-be identified lady was killed by gunmen who attacked some commercial banks in Ankpa, Kogi State.<\/p>\n

The robbers numbering over 20 were said to have operated for over an hour on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

According to PUNCH, an eyewitness, who did not want his name in print for security reasons, said that some of the robbers<\/a> arrived the town in three vehicles, while others arrived on motorcycles.<\/p>\n

It was gathered that they entered Ankpa through the eastern flank, blocked all exit routes and operated uninterrupted.<\/p>\n

They were said to have first attacked the police station in the town on their way to the banks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter robbing the banks for about an hour, they drove dangerously through the town out of Ankpa with unending gunshots.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey left Ankpa through Okpo Olamaboro Local Government Area road, but no one knew their destination,\u201d the source added.<\/p>\n

The state Commissioner of Police, Edward Egbuka and the state Police Public Relations Officer, William Aya, did not take their calls neither reply the text messages on Tuesday, PUNCH reports.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
