Scores of students of the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State have staged a peaceful rally against banditry, kidnapping, rape, drug abuse, and other vices plaguing Nigeria.<\/p>\n

The students also kicked against indecent dressing, cybercrime, cultism<\/a>, thuggery, and corruption in high places.<\/p>\n

The rally was sponsored by the Mass Communication Department of the institution.<\/p>\n

The placard-wielding protesters took the rally at the Ojoku road main campus polytechnic.<\/p>\n

The placards read in part: \u201cSay no to social vices,\u201d \u201cno to corruption,\u201d \u201cno to indecent dressing,\u201d \u201cno banditry,\u201d \u201cno to rape,\u201d and \u201cno to cultism.\u201d<\/p>\n

The institution\u2019s Assistant Registrar, Pension, Jimoh Yusuf later on addressed the students in front of the Senate Building.<\/p>\n

Yusuf said: \u201c… The institution will not condone all the vices including money rituals and drug abuse, we will continue to do our best in ensuring we eradicate vices like rape, banditry, Yahoo Yahoo, drug abuse, indecent dressing, cultism, thuggery among others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
