{"id":217126,"date":"2022-09-18T05:45:06","date_gmt":"2022-09-18T04:45:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=217126"},"modified":"2022-09-18T05:45:06","modified_gmt":"2022-09-18T04:45:06","slug":"what-i-will-miss-most-about-my-mother-akeredolu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/09\/18\/what-i-will-miss-most-about-my-mother-akeredolu\/","title":{"rendered":"What I will miss most about my mother &#8211; Akeredolu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, said what he will miss most about his mother, Grace, who died on Thursday at 90, is her intercessory prayers.<\/p>\n<p>Akeredolu said this on Saturday while speaking at his mother\u2019s residence in Ibadan when members of the enlarged Ondo State Executive Council led by the Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, paid him a condolence visit at the Orogun area of Ibadan, Oyo State.<\/p>\n<p>The governor said his mum chose the best time to leave the world as many of those who visited him would not have done so if his mother had died after his exit from office.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/09\/15\/just-in-akeredolus-mother-dies-at-90\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Akeredolu<\/a> said his mum died 42 years after her husband died, describing her as \u2018\u2019a highly favoured person and a product of abundant grace of God who was survived by her seven children.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201c My mum chose a very good time to leave and that is why you are all here. If she had waited till around 2026 or after that, many of you would not have come here.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe lived a fulfilled and meaningful life. She is an epitome of the biblical virtuous woman and dutiful wife. My mother was a prayer warrior. What I will miss most in her is the intercessory prayers. Anytime you put a call through to her, the response was always, \u2018let us pray\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thank God for her life.
