Mohammed Buba Marwa for wrongful termination.<\/p>\n<p>He claimed that he was fired as a result of exposing some dishonest agency employees.<\/p>\n<p>Olarenwaju complained to the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) that his case had not been thoroughly looked into before he was let go from the organization.<\/p>\n<p>He joined the organization in 2011, but he was fired after three years of working with the sensitive <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/06\/27\/abba-kyaris-drug-deal-case-will-not-last-long-marwa\/\">Investigation<\/a> Unit in Lekki, Lagos State.<\/p>\n<p>He insisted that if it weren\u2019t for victimisation, he would have advanced in his job.<\/p>\n<p>Explaining his ordeal, Olanrewaju said he discovered that his superiors were involved in bribery, tampering with seized items, and refusing to arrest those in possession of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/02\/26\/ndlea-chairman-kidnappers-now-ask-for-drugs-as-ransom\/\">hard drugs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>His superiors allegedly started victimising him when they discovered that he was aware of their dubious ways, and he was eventually dismissed from work.<\/p>\n<p>In his lawsuit, Olanrewaju requested that the court reinstate his employment. He further claimed that his monthly salary be paid from the time he was fired, as well as N80 million in compensation from the NDLEA for violating his fundamental rights, as protected by Section 34 of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Constitution of 1999, as amended.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A former employee of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Mr. Williams Olanrewaju, has filed a lawsuit against Brig.-Gen.
