The Bosso Local Government of Niger State’s Maikunkele has been the site of a parade by the Niger State Police Command of the alleged owner and director of a fictitious college of health science.<\/p>\n

The information was revealed in Minna on Tuesday by the state police’s PPRO, DSP Wasiu Abiodun.<\/p>\n

He claims that the suspects were apprehended two weeks ago as a result of information obtained by police officers working for the Command’s Intelligence Unit<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The suspects include Daniel Ishaya aged 23 years of Gurmana, Shiroro (Proprietor) in Niger state and Francis Ede aged 30 years of Enugu State (Director).<\/p>\n

\u201cThe two persons were suspected for establishing and operating a fake school known as Excellence College of Health Sciences and Technology, located in Maikunkele area of Bosso LGA,\u201d he disclosed.<\/p>\n

Abiodun further explained that during interrogation, Daniel Ishaya confessed that he established the school in the Year 2020 and he commenced admission in 2021 without any authorization or certification from the appropriate government body.<\/p>\n

The state police spokesman also stated that the suspect confessed that he forged a certificate of registration to deceive members of the public to register and gain admission into the school.<\/p>\n

Abiodun said the Ishaya further revealed that so far, about 100 students had enrolled into the School at the rate of seventy-eight thousand naira each (N78,000) for tuition fee and other charges.<\/p>\n

He further disclosed that Francis Ede, the alleged Director of the fake institution, has been helping him to manage the school as the managing director with about 20 teachers.<\/p>\n

The state police command added, \u201cwe admonish members of the public to be wary of the existence of such schools when seeking for admission for their wards to avoid wastage of resources and time in attending such uncertified and unaccredited schools\u201d.<\/p>\n

The case is under investigation and the suspects will be arraigned in court for prosecution as soon as investigation is concluded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
