The Adamawa state chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has expressed its dissatisfaction with the Federal High Court judgment that excluded it from partaking in the 2023 general election.<\/p>\n

At a press briefing on Saturday, Secretary of the party, Dr. Raymond Chidama, said the party rejects the court verdict. <\/p>\n

He, however, pleaded with the party supporters to be calm, saying the party will appeal the judgment.<\/p>\n

He said the \u201charsh\u201d court verdict prompted a stakeholders\u2019 meeting with the state working committee, state executives, and local government chairmen of the party to deliberate on a way forward where they have all agreed to make a move in reclaiming its mandate.<\/p>\n

Recall that a Federal High Court 1 sitting in Yola, presided by Justice Abdulaziz Anka, on Friday declared the gubernatorial primaries of the main opposition in the state null and void,<\/a> holding that the party failed to comply with its guidelines and constitutional provisions while conducting primaries.<\/p>\n

Justice Anka warned Sen. Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani to desist from parading herself as the gubernatorial candidate.<\/p>\n
